Investment & Growth Opportunities
Expansion tends to surface opportunities that go beyond distribution. We help brands prepare for those conversations commercially, and we are explicit about where our role ends.
As a brand grows internationally, conversations tend to arrive that are broader than a purchase order, a distributor proposing a deeper structure, a regional group interested in a joint venture, or a party raising the question of investment.
Brands are frequently unprepared for these conversations, not because the opportunity is wrong but because the commercial documentation that a counterparty expects does not exist yet. Our role is preparation and commercial structuring, sitting alongside your licensed advisers rather than in place of them.
An important clarification
LaunchGrid provides commercial consulting. We are not a licensed financial services provider, we do not provide financial product advice, we do not arrange or deal in financial products, and we do not manage investments. Nothing on this page is an offer, an inducement or a recommendation to invest. Any investment decision should be taken with your own licensed financial, legal and taxation advisers.
What you get
Where we can help:
Commercial readiness review
An assessment of whether the business can present a coherent commercial picture, numbers, structure, contracts, registrations and channel position.
Business case preparation
Documenting the growth case in commercial terms: market position, channel strategy, expansion plan and the operational requirements behind it.
Commercial documentation
Organising the material a counterparty will expect to review, and identifying the gaps before they are found by someone else.
Partnership and opportunity structuring
Working through what a proposed structure actually means commercially, and what questions should be asked before it progresses.
Introductions where appropriate
Connecting brands with relevant commercial parties where there is a genuine fit, always disclosed, never presented as advice.
What we do and do not do
The distinction matters, both legally and practically, so it is set out plainly.
| We do | We do not |
|---|---|
| Prepare commercial documentation and the growth case | Provide financial product or investment advice |
| Review the commercial logic of a proposed structure | Recommend that you accept or decline an investment |
| Introduce relevant commercial parties where a genuine fit exists | Arrange, deal in or issue financial products |
| Help you identify the questions to put to your advisers | Act as your financial, legal or taxation adviser |
| Support negotiation on commercial terms | Guarantee capital, funding or any outcome |
Preparation is the point
Most of the value here is unglamorous. Counterparties assess whether a business is organised: whether the numbers reconcile, whether contracts are documented, whether registrations are held correctly and whether channel arrangements are what they are represented to be.
Brands that have done this work negotiate from a stronger position, regardless of whether a particular conversation progresses.
Questions
Frequently asked
No. We are not licensed to arrange investment or deal in financial products, and we do not present ourselves as doing so. We help brands prepare commercially and, where there is a genuine commercial fit, we may make introductions, which is a different thing, and we will always be explicit about which is which.
No. Nobody credible does. Any party guaranteeing capital in exchange for an upfront fee should be treated with considerable caution.
That your financial records reconcile and are current, your contracts and distribution agreements are documented, your registrations are held correctly and transferably, your channel position is accurately represented, and your growth plan is written down with the operational requirements behind it.
Yes, early, not late. Our work is commercial and sits alongside theirs. Anything touching structure, tax, securities law or contract interpretation belongs with a qualified adviser, and we will say so when you reach that point.
